Welcome to the Untold Stories Illegal Faction Management Guidelines.
This document exists to ensure that illegal factionsโgangs, cartels, syndicates, and underground organizationsโoperate with structure, accountability, and respect for the roleplay environment.
Running an illegal faction is a privilege, not a right. It requires leadership, creativity, and a commitment to quality storytelling. These guidelines are here to support that vision while maintaining fairness and balance across the server.
Illegal factions should enhance the server, not dominate it. They should create opportunities for conflict, alliances, and storytellingโnot just grinding, shooting, and territory wars.
We value quality over quantity. A small, well-run faction with strong roleplay will always be more valuable than a large, chaotic group that exists only to win fights.
If you're here to build something meaningful, we're here to support you. If you're here to cause problems, these guidelines will hold you accountable.
Untold Stories is not a playground for flashy chaos, neon flexing, or gimmick-heavy crews. This is a modern noir criminal underworld, built on quiet power, legacy-driven moves, and calculated tension.
Michael Mann films, The Sopranos, Donnie Brasco, Narcos
Rainbow vests, anime masks, or chaotic shootouts with no consequence
Whether you're a cartel enforcer, an upstart Mafia crew, or a cold-blooded syndicate operator, the expectation is the same. You are expected to bring subtle, strategic, immersive roleplay where crime is handled like business, not performance.
Your RP should feel like it belongs in a serious crime film, not a Twitch highlights reel.
Ask yourself: Would this scene make sense in Heat, Animal Kingdom, or The Godfather?
If not, it probably doesn't belong here.
If you claim to be Mafia, cartel, MC, Bratva, or any serious criminal outfit, you need to understand the weight that comes with those words.
A true boss thinks in weeks, not hours.
A real crew knows how to vanish just as easily as it appears.
Every murder leaves a trail. Every war has a cost.
If you're not thinking five steps ahead, you're already falling behind.
Illegal factions are classified into tiers based on their size, influence, and roleplay scope. Each tier has specific member limits and expectations.
8-12 members
Small, localized groups focused on street-level crime. Typically control a single block or neighborhood. Examples: corner crews, small drug operations, local enforcers.
13-20 members
Mid-sized factions with structured hierarchy and broader operations. May control multiple territories or run complex criminal enterprises. Examples: established gangs, trafficking rings, protection rackets.
21-30 members (requires staff approval)
Large-scale criminal organizations with significant power and influence. May have connections to legal businesses, political figures, or international operations. Examples: cartels, mafia families, major syndicates.
All factions apply through the Untold Stories Faction Application.
